This project involved designing a remote control vehicle to drive through a maze course. The robot car is able to pick up a bracelet at a pitstop and continue to final destination. The project was done in 24 hours during a Northrop Grumman Hackathon 2019. This project won first place among 50 teams.
Figure 1: Fully Assembled Robot Car
The robot car is from available used robotics kit including chassis and wheels. The robotic arm is engineered using recyclable materials such as cup and popsicle stick. The cup is to ensure that the target item picked up stayed in the hoop while moving the car. The end effector is designed for easy pick up and go. Further details of design can be found in the hackathon repository below.
